Redevelopment stages in Korea, with the statute behind each one

Redevelopment and reconstruction in Korea follow the sequence set by the Act on the Improvement of Urban Areas and Residential Environments. The stage field in this data carries the names of those steps. Each name below is followed by the article text itself.

1. What this data is

It is a standard dataset on Korea's open data portal. Local governments publish their own zones on a shared schema and the portal merges them into one table. This site splits that table apart, unchanged.

Nothing is added or corrected. Zone names, stages and phone numbers are copied as published. So if the record is wrong, this page is wrong too. When that happens, the agency's phone number is the source of truth.

2. Stage names and statutes

These are the stage names that actually appear in the data. The number after each one is how many zones sit at that stage. Below it is the article text, not our paraphrase.

3. What each field holds

Source field names are in brackets.

4. Not nationwide

Nine agencies published this table. Seoul is not among them, and neither is Gwangju. A zone missing here is missing from the data, not from the country.

The count grows when more local governments publish. We print the download date and the row count on screen, and both change when the data is refetched. Nothing absent is counted as present.

5. Where people get stuck

The field names in this guide follow the source schema. Article text comes from Korea's national law service. Korean statutes are not copyrightable under Article 7 of the Copyright Act. This guide is not investment advice.
